There is no denying the incredible impact reggae had on early punk & new wave. Second only perhaps to the 60's garage sounds that provided the skeletal imprint for bands such as the Ramones, The Damned, Buzzcocks, etc. Practically every artist of note tried their hand at at least one inspired tune. Some based their entire career chasing reggae's muse (The Police, The Slits, UB40). This poll will concentrate solely on artists who had a few songs devoted to the genre but who otherwise cut a more divergent path.
