I loved this band in the 80,s and bought all their lp,s (four?)when they came out.To me they played straight ahead rock in a time that few cared about it and were off the radar by the 90,s.What is your opinion on this band and did anyone see them live?I don,t ever remember them playing around my neighborhood.I think I only ever saw one of their music videos once for"I wanna be a Flinstone".

I saw them open for Echo And The Bunnymen in Seattle in 1988. I recall the Screaming Blue Messiahs being loud and maybe a bit monotonous. Then again, the Bunnymen put on one of the best shows I have ever seen and any opening act would have suffered by comparison!
