I've had this lp forever but just pulled it out for the 1st time in YEARS...when's the last time you listened to it??

The sound of the keyboards (listen to how great those bassnotes sound) and that Lynn Drum... MAN!!!!

That funny 'cat meowing' sound that starts "Love Action"...one of my favorite sound bites of the 80s.

And 'Seconds', one of the best songs of the whole shebang. If you don't remember it, go back and listen RIGHT NOW!!!!

The best synth-pop album of the 80's. They also released a really nice 21st anniv edition about a year or so ago. It contains the "Love and Dancing" cd as well.

I love Dare... , I've got the original vinyl, then bought the CD when it first came out... then bought the 21st anniversary edition... all very lovely.
But to be honest I prefer Reproduction.

As close as you can come to a perfect album. "Seconds" is amazing, especially the part with the canons. Love the synths in "Love Action" and "Sound of the Crowd". TOTALLY NEW WAVE!!!
