I don't see that anybody else posted this yet. Yesterday MSN put this recent concert online.

Great to see them in such fine form, albeit minus Paul Hester (who killed himself in 2005). I'm just a little disappointed that they omitted some key hits (Something So Strong, Now We're Getting Somewhere). But all in all, great performance!

The Northampton show was quite enjoyable, although I must say it is worth your time to get the new album if you're planning to see them. They do every song on it, which slightly tests the patience of those there to hear the hits. Fortunately, the new songs fit right in, but I am glad I was familiar with them.

I caught them at the Greek Theatre in L.A. the other night. Phenomenal show. The new album Time On Earth is VERY mellow - it's really more like Neil Finn And His Backup Musicians And Vocalists than the classic Crowded House sound - but the songs played very well in concert. The best thing about the show is all the goofing around. For no apparent reason, Neil started playing the old chestnut "Happy Together" (The Turtles) that turned into a 4-minute audience sing-along. They also made up a few songs on the spot. Some guy yelled out that he wanted to hear a new Split Enz song, so Neil did a sort of "I See Red" knockoff on the keys. I'd highly recommend even moderate fans of their stuff to catch a CH show.
