Anyone listening to the countdown, I left off around 1840-ish... they are doing a countdown of the top 2044 new wave, punk, post-punk, nu ro, and syth-pop tunes! Check it out if you can...

yeah I caught some of it this morning....I wonder if there's a list online somewhere?? Anyone?

All I've found on the sitre is a reference to doing this countdown all Labor Day Weekend long (holiday in US, not MAy Day's Labor Day celebration)...

Hey, I barely got to listen to anything today between classes, but what I did hear seemed mostly to be the processed-for-the-masses stuff; not the truly representational stuff that we all seem to appreciate on this web-site. There were a few goodies, but overall it was the stuff you heard on the top 40 stations of the day (Tears for Fears/Shout, the Pretenders/Back on the Chain Gang, REM/whatever stuff they were peddling in the mid-80s, etc- nothing hardcore or even vaguely obscure).

Did you get that vibe too? It kind of bummed me out. I actually tuned out a few times to listen to XMU.[V]

Like the top fave new wave of all time for the masses... got the same vibe, and I still had fun listening to some of the blocks of songs... I'm wondering who compiled the list and chose their position... b/c EATB's The Cutter was at 1340-ish.

They will likely repeat it one more time--between Christmas and New Year's. Want to assign XM listeners to record at certain times?

Thanks for the info, this is Fred's Version 7 (for 2007) they were touting. I tried to make it, but I was cooking breakfast during the last 19, and never found out what Number 1 was...

That's exactly right...XM posted 2002 and 2003 and nothing afterward. Apparently, they're not too responsive to e-mail either. So...it's not likely anything post-2004 will be put on my website (those lists are torture to format/type out anyway).

Until then, you guys will just have to settle for the crapola that are current modern rock radio lists.
