I've had an advance of Antics for quite some time now and I've listened to most of it, but not the complete CD. I'd like to say that it was as good as Turn On THe Bright Lights (one of the best indie albums ever, in my opinion), but that w

Ollie, that's a surprising post for you. Why would you post a link to the entire contents of a brand new album, especially of a band that's trying to make a living making the kind of music that a lot of us like. Just wondering what's up.

Bah, Snoozerpol, lol.
I've tried and tried but I cannot. See, the lead singer kinda sounds enough like the dude from the Tragically Hip (who I totally hate) with a bit of the Joy Division rip off. I'm sure they're nice guys, but I can't get into it.

I got it and after a couple of listens, changed CDs and the disc wound up out of the case in my bag and is now ruined. argh! But I have to say that after the couple of listens, I wasn't immediately enchanted like I was with ...Bright Lights. On the Cur

Agreed. It's listenable, but nowhere near as engaging as Turn on the Bright Lights -- certainly overrated. I'm enjoying The Killers album more.

Well after 5 complete listens of all 10 tracks it's staring to grow on me. Keep in mind that I got into TOTBL after 1 listen.
I do wonder however where are the great lines like these...

Wow, I'm really shocked at these responses. I've had my copy for about 6 weeks now and it's one of my favorite albums of the year. I like the fact that it's not a carbon copy of Turn On The Bright Lights. Now, I will say that "Slow Hands" wasn't th

Lansing-Dreiden is another act out there now with a sound that tips a hat to new wave.

It's definitely not as immediate as TOTBL. That sucked me in from first listen. There are some good ones on it though: Evil, C'Mere and Not Even Jail stand out for me. I am a little disappointed though. I thought this one would take the top of my lis

I've had Antics for about 2 months, I have to admit it took some time, but it eventually grew on me. I'm diggin' it.
