Here we go the 1st battle of the Albums.

Two Albums that have a similar ambience and releaced with in 6 month of each other. I think this is a good match up. The Quite life LP which was realeaced Dec 1979 and Seventeen Seconds in May of 1980. Both Albums are a bit moody but you can tell Japan's Quite life is a bit more instramentally advanced played by more compitent and tecnically proficient musicians.


Japan better win this one.

Not knocking Japan (love them)
But i think The Cure hit a fantastic string of albums here..
Seventeen Seconds, Faith (my favourite Cure album) and Pornography...
Personaly i think those three are better than anything Japan re

"Seventeen Seconds" by the Cure wins this one. I was never a big fan of Japan, have tried listening to them multiple times, and just could never get into them, although I do like David Sylvian's vocals. The only thing I remotely liked by Japan was "Gent

h-m-mmm Pornography vs. Adolescent Sex I'm steering clear of that one but Japan does get my vote.
