New Wave Outpost Forum

Although I have never been a huge poster to these boards I have been using them for a number of years now to find more out about the music I love. I find it a shame that now every single post turns in to an insult fest against other users. The great stuff that used to be on here has been replaced by this? Its sad to say these boards have lost the luster they once had.

Congratulations on your 50th post... was it supposed to add something positive to the oppresive climate you lament? At this rate, we'll see your next "contribution" in mid 2008, perhaps that's a good thing.

You do make a point, though. About the only thing worse than those who use this board to insult others are those who use it to whine and complain.

May I suggest an alternative outlet better suited to those inclined to bitching and sniveling... perhaps you can give this guy a run for his money...

i don't know, she decided that "grumpy" was probably the best adjective to describe herself when she was selecting a profile name; so she is more than likely prone to be dissatisfied and petulant and cranky and well... grumpy. it discounts whatever is said.

kind of like people who describe themselves as "djs" and then become the authorities on what is/isn't good music or what is/isn't "new wave."

I'm not a big fan of the insult threads either, I choose not to participate or avoid them. Just a suggestion that may work for you.

There are insults on every message board I'm on. Mostly be me!! Haha!

Seriously though, just ignore them. It's all about the music anyways right?

I agree, her post reads like that of your typical leech. She's probably d/led a ton of shit from here, without so much as a thank you.

Lately though, we're stressing the grumpy one's eye by making her sort through the antics on the board to find her free downloads; and in doing so run the risk of losing her valued presence.
