Guest Starring.....

I think we've done the "dream band" thread before, but I'd thought I give this a shot.

There are examples of various NW collaborations across the spectrum of artists in the genre. However who would you have LIKED to seen a collaboration between?

For example I always wondered about Johnny Marr guest starring on a song by Depeche Mode. Marr obviously was not adverse to working with Keyboard driven bands (E.g. Electronic) and if he had worked with them on a song arund the "Personal Jesus" phase of their career where DM was bringing in guitar to their music, I think a very good song could have come out of that collaboration.

Any other ideas for a mythical "guest starring" role?[?]

Great thread. I wonder what a synth supergroup might sound like. Vince Clark, Chris Lowe, Alan Wilder. Not impossible - they're all still in the business - though most likely improbable. Most likely a creative control disaster but still, the possibilties are fascinating to ponder. I also always thought a Jimmy Somerville, Andy Bell, Pete Burns and Marc Almond singing group would be a sight to behold.

Wow Marv, can you imagine an acapella concert by the list above. It would indeed be a sight (in every sense of the word[;)])
