Favorite Albums that you Bought because of Cover

Hello all...
Let's dish about the records we bought because of the album cover looked interesting! I'll start...
I used to do that a lot. If an album even Looked alternative I would buy it. Often I was dissappointed, but I did find some gems just by chance that way. Here are a few of my favorite impulse buys...

Klark Kent - Musical Madness... Didn't even know at the time that it was Stewart Copeland. The album was on ten-inch green vinyl, and the jacket was in the shape of a large "K". There was a sticker on the jacket that said "Warning! If you expose this record to air it will shrink to ten inches and turn green!" or something to that effect.
The Records - The Records - Power Pop at it's finest!!
The Vibrators - Pure Mania Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

There were many others that I am sure I will add to this list.

Others? Anyone? Something "D O O" economics.

Way too many to list but I would say at least 75% of what I bought over the years was based on covers alone (if I had never heard of or about the band).

threadjack ...

Has anyone bought a CD based on the cover? I don't think I ever have.

Back to the original question, there's been lots of 12" covers that attract my attention, but either I recognize a name on the credits list, or I preview the record first.

On the opposite end, New Order's Brotherhood cover detracted from me buying it because I didn't know what it was! I knew that there was a NO album coming, but didn't know when, so I ignored it the first time I saw it.
