Primal Scream

Saw them mentioned in the thread about Land of The Lost in Philly (?), and got me to thinking about my very favorite release from them, circa 88 or 89, called Psonic Flower Groove. IMO, this was their best, they were clearly a more jangly, melodic pschh pop group then, and if you haven't heard their song 'Gentle Tuesday' you are missing out. This was a wonderful LP, came out on CD, but is now pretty hard to come by, but for me, the one and only one release by them that I would absolutely have to own. It is a psych-pop lush gem grom that period.

Agree with grunch although I also love their 1991 cd, Screamadelica. I played that non-stop when it first came out. Too bad they did not manage to stay in either the Sonic Flower or Screamadelica sound.

Grunch, didn't they have a song that went something like this?:

"Don't slow down
If the sky is blue
Don't slow down....." Can't remember the rest.

I remember hearing a song like this.

I thought 'Loaded' was a decent tune with a nifty James Dean sample over that pseudo 'Stones 'SFTD' baseline & rhythm loop.
"We wanna get loaded and have a good time. We wanna have a party"[}:)]

I posted "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have" (taken from their second album Primal Scream) which was the song that Andrew Weatherall turned into "Loaded".
I also posted the Farley mix of loaded in the comments...

It was a bliss compilation, it could have been any number of band names...
More than likely Ways of Stephen though...
and i'm not even sure it was the Haywains now come to think of it... could have been The Fieldmice, or Boy Racer or White Town or maybe
