Blue Christmas by Danielle Dax is fantastic new wave fare.
crépuscule - ghosts of christmas past features Durutti Column, Aztec camera, and the french impressionist doing the afore mentioned "santa baby"
I always liked, Grandaddy - Alan Parsons in a Winter Wonderland, Depeche Mode does "Christmas Island" too.

Already mentioned, but "Thanks For Christmas" by XTC is probably the best new wave song EVER. Just fabulous.

I like a lot of those listed above, but Christmas Wrapping from the Waitresses will always be my absolute favorite.
I see no one has listed Coventry Carol from Alison Moyet.
I have seen a picture sleeve for Lene Lovich covering I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. I can't imagine what that sounds like!

Beside The Waitresses and XTC, which I actually hear in stores last season, I like:
U2 - Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)
Aztec Camera - Walk Out To Winter (not so X-Mas like)
And all the punk bands performing X-Mas songs, real fast...[:D]

Of all the ones listed above 'One Christmas Catalog' is my personal fave NW holiday tune. Such a haunting and memorable track.
'Christmas Wrapping' another great one... yet for me, has become background holiday muzak thanks to all the relentless mainstream airplay over the years [|)]
On a NNW 80's note, I'm always a sucker for Dan Fogelberg's maudlin 'Same Old Lang Syne'
Songs about unrequited love never fail to tug at the heartstrings..
