Folks_ I Just wants to tell ya that the new left of the dial set on Rhino is faboo!!I know it was poo-poohed around these parts for not having enough obscurities on it-but let me tell ya-the packaging is the Rhino premium package we have all learned to love-the sequencing is great and if you pop it in-it sounds just like college radio in the 80s-so stop what you're doing now-shake out the furniture for loose change and dial up the friendly folks at rhino!

I don;t want to rain on Rhino's parade, but just IMO, it was nothing but a box set of songs, all of which I already owned, many numerous times over, so it just didn't excite me. Had they really been adventurous, or bold, they WOULD have done a true obscur

I'm gonna go with Pikeprof and say I think it's a great selection. There are some obscurities, many 2nd tier hits, and relatively few obvious tracks (Jane Says, WTF?!). I think we're all up to our gills in obscurities here and maybe lose a little perspect

Here was my reaction to the whole thing: I loved the picture of the legendary KALX-90.7 on the booklet-and knew that that picture was every college radio station in the 80s (including mine)-also I got all the in-jokes "We Cared A Lot" "Our own freak scen

Overall, I do like the box set...while I already had almost every song on here, it's nice to have remastered versions of these tracks. I know there are not a lot of rarities on here, but I think it was meant to be more of an overview of the era.

I don't disagree the songs are not a decent choice for this box, just that for me, it was stuff I already had, and I have made myself so many nice comps just how I want them, mixed with popular and obscure, exactly as I want them with respect to both sele

I saw the box set at Barnes & Nobles today, and the first thing I thought was "damn, this box his huuuuuuge!" I took a gander at the track listings, and thought it was a nice smattering of hits, almost hits, and some other things. I was surprised to see
