Interesting article from the BBC announcing plans to create a new version of Band Aid. It has some interesting insights on the first time round. UK artists accounted for one third of all US record sales in the mid-80's vs. 5% today.

I really don't think it will have the same impact as v1.0
Kinda like 'Woodstock '69 vs '89
The ethos and synergy of the original project could never be replicated IMHO
