Halloween Mix

Postby ebbhead » Thu Oct 21, 2004 5:11 am

I have to make an 80s/wave Halloween mix for a neighbor for some party he's going to. He's looking for stuff that's cool, but not too cool for the room...something good for even the 80s novice.

Any thoughts?

My list so far includes:

Ministry - (Everyday is Like) Halloween (duh)
Siouxsie - Halloween (duh)
Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead
The Specials - Ghost Town
The Ramones - Pet Cemetary
Depeche Mode - PIMPF
Screaming Tribesmen - Date with a Vampire
Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting

I can think of a bunch of other tracks, but some are way too obscure. Some of these might even be for the crowd there, lol. Otherwise, I'm blanking on a lot of obvious ones. Any other ideas?

(BTW, feel free to add any creepy/scary songs good for Halloween that you want to...)

It's the hour of the wolf and I don't want to die..."

"Wolfman Tap" by Electric Guitars

Also, as part of their New Wave Hits of the '80's series, Rhino released a New Wave Halloween CD. I think a lot of the titles suggested here were on it, but it might be worth seeking it out for others.
