Is there any New Wave solo artists or bands that won any Music Awards say
MTV Awards
Grammy Awards
American Music Awards
British Music Awards
etc.......
I only remember REM's album Out Of Time winning the album of the year in 1991 and Losing My Religion song of the year at the Grammys.
With Or Without You by U2 also won the peoples choice award.

I remember men at work winning best new artist at some award show. As everyone knows, that award is the kiss of death.
