Folks,

I originally posted this as a thread response, but really - this deserves a thread of its own.

Here's Dramarama on this past Thursday's (1/24) "Ellen":

<embed allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" src="http://media.redlasso.com/xdrive/WEB/vidplayer_1b/redlasso_player_b1b_deploy.swf" flashvars="embedId=9f9982eb-e460-4260-a023-6ffbd095ed21" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="390" height="320"></embed>

I do believe they kicked ass.

I totally saw this! I was, um, well, busily being hospitalized at the time and I clearly remember this bit coming on when a nurse was in to change the saline solution hydration bag on my IV thingamabob and I commented to her that I loved this song and she totally didn't know about the band OR the song at the time but I got her to stick around and listen! And I love Ellen! She's far better than the usual douchebaggy suspects that are on daytime chat show TV, and she was cool enough to get (or know someone who could get) Dramarama on her program!

THAT KICKED MAJOR ASS!!!! Thanks so much. Only thing that ruins it for me though? is KROQ is involved with it. I DESPISE KROQ, especially now. Nice of "Stryker"(a KROQ DJ) to hook her up, as I like Ellen. I dont like Stryker either, he reeks of douchebaggedness. I do appreciate the link, they sounded awesome, and looked great. Wonder if that was the original lineup?

(A little backstory)I DESPISE KROQ NOW, b/c they're so corporate, and most of the time, they don't play anything from back in the day, except @ Lunchtime. They only play the good stuff(stuff we mostly listened to back in the 80s) when THEY can benefit from it.

A few years ago, I went to something called 'Inland Invasion", where they had a ton of 80's bands(The Cure/DD/Bow Wow Wow/Dramarama/etc), and the ONLY time they bothered playing or caring about them(these bands), was for this show. Why? they could make $$$$ from it, and smear their corporate feces all over it. They also ruined it IMHO, by having shitty bands like Interpol, and Hot Hot Heat, and others on the bill. I would call all the time to hear something by The Cure, or whatever, and they'd say"you gotta call back @ lunchtime", and then launch into the next new shitty Linkin Park song or something, why? IMHO, they forgot where they came from, and what their bread and butter is.

I went to see: Marc Almond/Dramarama/DD/The Cure/The Psychedelic Furs/Bow Wow Wow/Echo and the Bunnymen(as Im a huge fan of theirs), and all the other 80's bands. The newer or current bands they had,(which KROQ plays till you want to stab yourself in the eyes w/a pen? ruined the show kinda for me. I spent a ton of $$$$ on the stuff from 80's bands, and not a single buck for anything from the newer bands.
