I had heard a rumor that Bonnie Bramlett signed a new record agreement, so I did a little research and found out that Rockin' Camel Music is releasing a new album called Beautiful. I just got the digital release and it's the best I have heard from her! Bonnie fans from back in the day with Eric Clapton will enjoy this album!

Thanks, Bonnie... er, I mean "jamey118".
Nice of you to make your introductory post here one that not only doesn't fit the thread category but one that smacks of promotional hype.
Let's hope, should you decide to return and post again, that you may offer something of value to those who frequent these boards not to be sold something but to share their genuine appreciation for New Wave and 80s music.
Perhaps we could start an "Obscure Artists That Nobody Cares About" thread for this type of drivel.

WTF?? Half the stuff on this board isn't remotely related to new wave, way to greet a new person. And I imagine there are poster here that WOULD care about this artist as well as many other you would relegate to 'nobody cares about status'
Your response shows your character, or complete lack of it, and your ignorance. Or perhaps........it really means that if someone mentions new music, it needs to be something your narrrow mind knows about or can accept as 'oh my god it's not new wave' so you can still function.

Yeah, but when you show up on The New Wave Outpost and - with your first post, mind you - post about someone who's 180 degrees removed from New Wave, I think it's safe to call it spam.
Unless she had a New Wave period the way Linda Ronstadt did...but I think not. And Eric Clapton never did, so more points off for not only being off topic, but name dropping off-topic, too.

Sounds serious.....let's take him out back and dish out a good ass-whipping.
80's discussion would imply that any artist doing anything in the 80s would be ok, but then I guess it has to be only those meeting the criteria of an extremely narrow mind.
Did you by chance do any research to see if Bonnie Bramlett had any musical activity in the 80s? If so, by description of this posting section, his post would be ok. Hint........it is.

I did forget the degrees of separation restriction. You mentioned 180. Is that the standard, I was thinking it was 165 degrees. So MANY artists here anyway are so far removed from new wave, or sometimes 80s, so who cares really. If this will ease things, place fingers together and remove wad from panties.

CounterCircular, we get these kind of posts all the time here. They are spam. I usually delete them as soon as they post, but since there was a reply, I left it alone.

It figures the ONE Bonnie Bramlet fan would show up here. It's time to give up the dream, son. Take her poster of your wall and throw away those 8 track tapes... she didn't make it.
...and congrats on your 14 posts, 6 of which consist of berating longtime NWO members. Way to jump right in, contribute and make a first impression. Now THERE'S some character.

Perhaps if Bonnie Bramlett had recorded with Ethel Merman things would have worked out better...

I also thought it was a bizarre post for this site. However, CounterCircular if you really want to make your new wave argument, you could drop the fact that it was Bonnie Bramlett who cold-cocked Elvis Costello in a bar one time when he made a nasty racist comment about Ray Charles (which, to Elvis's credit, he forever regrets).

...not that you were trying to tie her to new wave necessarily, but I couldn't resist dropping in that fun fact. It was kinda big news when it happened (maybe in '79?).

Well, I would hardly call Bonnie "obscure" but other than that, djcraig's pretty much dead on in his post. It would appear that CounterCircular hasn't fully recovered from being told to "shut the fuck up and die" by Barmy back in November. [:D]
