A friend sent this to me:

I'm listening to it right now, and so far, so good. Generally I wouldn't care for a "contemporary" remix of a new wave classic, but this one works quite well. Much more electronic than the original. Not sure if this is a "legit" release.

There are a couple of different B-52s remix EPs from the remix team of Manhattan Clique. There is one for Wild Planet and Mesopotamia. These are not bootlegs, but official mixes they've also done a cool Soft Cell remix of Torch for their new remix album. Here's a link...

I picked up the vinyl and was also surprised/impressed. They did a good job. I ordered the CD editions of all three (!) remix sets and will report back if anyone's interested. Hoping they'll be here within the week.

CDUniverse had all three, ironically. Two of three have arrived (waiting on Mesopotamia, which is my favorite B-52s track, btw). They need a little more listening to, but I'm enjoying them so far. They weren't cheap -- about $20 each.
