Two totally different songs. One very similar start. Know what I mean?

Take the spuriously corollary case of The Cars' Touch And Go and the Police's Spirits In The Material World. Get it?

What others are there?

I think once "Rio" (Duran Duran) and "Just Another Day" (Oingo Boingo) really get started, they sound a lot alike.

Don't forget Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky". That makes three.

Wow Marv, I was just going to start a thread just like this because I thought one of my favorite songs by The Jam was going to be played on Jack FM, and then it was Phil Collins doing a cover of The Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love."

The bass line start makes the songs indistinguishable:

The Jam - Town Called Malice
Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love (Supremes Cover)

You can add Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl".
