New Wave movie?

I'm surprised this hasn't come up before (or it has and I just can't find it via 'search').....with the exhorbitant amount of knowledge and personal experience this board has to offer, I'm surprised no one ever sat down to write a screenplay or book about your life and new wave. Well, actually, more specifically, what life was like say, for example, here on Long Island as an 'LIR listener in the early 80's. Like, for example, a day in the life with their day ending at Spize, 007, Malibu or something like that...
All have posted some great stories....I just think they would make a good movie. And I don't work for a publishing or movie company, just in case you were wondering....[:D]
