When did they go Mr. Roboto?

Some of you may be familiar with the TV show-based discussion of "Jumping the shark." It refers to the point when a good show, in the case of the title referred to "Happy Days" goes for the most part irreversibly bad. In other words they've run out of creative ideas for the show and the episodes are ridiculously bad as in the case of Fonzie on a surf board in leather jacket, jumping the shark.

So let's apply this to music. Name a band and identify when they went "Mr. Roboto," in honor of the band Styx, who completely lost it by releasing a song so bad that not even most Styx fans even like it.

Granted, Styx is arena rock and not new wave, but the song is the exact appropriate one to name this game.

Enjoy.

Apart From The Crowd--their first record.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Some of these may/may not be "New Wave":

Siouxsie's new "Mantaray" disc....what a pile of dogshit this is.
KISS: Music from the Elder
New Order: Republic(their label should be shot for releasing this piece of shit)
OMD: Junk Culture(was this a concept album? I didnt "get it" w/this one)
Animotion(Their second disc stunk)
