For those who live in Seattle and miss KYYX, 96.5 KRQI (K-Rock) is having a Flashback Weekend right now - three days of New Wave without grunge. Fun

i started listening to it last weekend and enjoyed it...i am happy they are doing it this weekend too. i am wondering if it gonna be an all weekend thing ala KLSY's "totally 80's weekend"

This is the first time 96.5 has gone completely New Wave since the days of KYYX. I hope KYXX fans are tuned in this weekend. Heads up, fellow Wavers.

They're playing Echo & the Bunnymen's "The Cutter" on KRQI right now. Great that they're going beyond the "hits"...

i do wish that they do this again next week. i taped part of the show so i could listen to it on my lunch break and they played "doot doot", as well as "killing moon", to name a couple. if they would just go to that format and drop the recent alternative

yes i totally agree with you, since i like INXS. i listen to the ressurrection flashback sunday on the end...the flashback weekend to me adds a little bit extra. i know k-rock isn't KYYX, but the idea of these songs played on the 96.5 frequency is that so
