New Wave Outpost Forum

It's been a long time - just about two years - so I figured it's high time to revive the Video Name That Tune Contest. The embedded video contains clips from 25 new wave acts. This will be a contest to see who can name the most Artists and Songs in these clips. The rules:

1) Watch the video
2) <font color="red">[b]Do Not Post the Answers in This Thread[/b]</font>
3) Make a note of the Artist and Song for each clip
4) <font color="red">[b]Do Not Post the Answers in This Thread[/b]</font>
5) Email me your answers through the NWO emailer function <a href="http://nwoutpost.com/forum/pop_profile.asp?mode=display&id=80">in my profile</a>
6) <font color="red">[b]Do Not Post the Answers in This Thread[/b]</font>
7) The game is on a 75 point basis - 1pt for each Artist and 2pts for each Song

9) The game will expire on Friday August 15th at 11pm EST

I'll email you back the answers upon submission. After the game closes, I'll tally up the scores, provide some statistics, and declare a Champion NWO Video NTT Champion. That person will then be awarded the undying respect and awe of the fellow board members.

Thanks for doing this Blir. Even though I suck at these, I enjoy participating in the contest. At the very least I find songs that I missed out on way back then. I'm just not clear on one thing. Are we supposed to post the answers in this thread?

That last clip is a duesie ain't it? Represents everything that was bad about new wave - cracks me up.

PS. Sorry about the 4th to the last clip...the YouTube upload seems to have munged the sound somehow.

I think I have about 80 percent on initial viewing.

Wow, I suck at this. I've only seen two of these videos. If I get half of these I'd be lucky. [B)]

I am forced to revise my previous estimate. As it turns out, I only thought I knew some of them. This is gonna take some in-depth analysis. As of the second viewing, however, I have about 14 of 24, with 6 "Maybes".

Hi gang, pretty good initial participation. We've now got over a dozen entries, some I-should-have-totally-known-that's, and still a fairly undaunting [b]36.9 average[/b]. All Bands and Songs have been answered at least once...EXCEPT #25. Who will accept this challenge?
