Posted: Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:09 amVery cool. Just got kind of a weird deja vu though that it started with Patti Smith's "Gloria", just like the documentary "Blank Generation". More appropriate for the latter I would think than for the Whiskey.

I think he was in a band called "The Quick"

Posted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 9:30 amThe young guy is Danny Wilde. You might know him from being half of the Rembrandts. He started in the Quick, moved onto Great Buildings (good new wave / power pop album) and then doing the "Friends" theme in the Rembrandts. Cool footage.

thanks! went onto the Rembrandts, huh? as much as everyone hates that song, it is interesting to see someone have a massive hit from such humble LA beginnings.....
