Okay, so heres what i think........

Any favorite song out there with long endings, either fading or just stopping with no voice whatsoever.

Example

Gentle Tuesday - Primal Scream
Naked As The Day When You Were Born - Weather Prophets
Brighter - The Railway Children

Politik - Coldplay. [:D]

The Smiths "That Joke Isnt Funny Anymore" : one of classic false fades....

Sparks "I Predict" ('and the song will fade out and the song will fade out' ---and then stops)

Yes, Smiths-That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore. Beautiful song and the ending sends chills down my spine. Ah, intense memories of 1985/1986...

The first that came to mind was Uncertain Smile by The The.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

New Order: the Perfect Kiss (12" version; I consider the album version to be an edit)

<p align="justify">Totally[}:)]

I was gonna also say "A Question Of Lust (minimal)" by Depeche Mode, but that's a single remix, BUT there's also "Personal Jesus" and "Blasphemous Rumours," which extend into weird samples and tones[}:)]

A classic one for me is Split Enz' "Six Months In a Leaky Boat".

Oh, and a lot of Bill Nelson stuff, especially "Empire of the Senses" and "Flaming Desire".

Not sure if empyrean meant good or just overly long, but if we're talking good then the last minute of Depeche Mode's "It's No Good" is just about the coolest synth sound that can possibly be made with an electronic equipment. I just can't get enough of it.
