MY Itunes New Wave song count by year

I have a new wave playlist on my Itunes library. Here is the song distribution by year.
1974=2
1975=2
1976=3
1977=21
1978=38
1979=69
1980=81
1981=116
1982=156
1983=143
1984=131
1985=107
1986=74
1987=94
1988=71
1989=75
1990=47
1991=44
1992=32
1993=27
1994=13
1995=22

The songs from recent years include things like Kaiser Chiefs "Everyday I Love you less and less". If its new and it sounds like something KROQ would have possible played back in the day it goes in the new wave playlist.

Roqqer, it's very bad form not to graph this out. My current new wave mix, pointing out that 1981 was indeed the greatest year for [i]true[/i] new wave... [;)][:o)]

My god, are you completely INSANE?!!! Who in their right mind would put a time-based graph into pie chart. You offend me sir.

and with a pie chart, we can truly see which year was the upper crust for new wave, versus the filler years
