Anyone buy it? Heard it yet? Saw them perform on Letterman's show about 2 week ago or so...

[will look for lip...]

just Chrissy and the drummer, two young dudes playng bass and lead guitar... sounded good, fast and like the first album!

You can sample two of the new songs in their entirety at:

I wasn't overly impressed with the album. I did like "Love's a Mystery" which I downloaded.

I picked up the Best Buy version with two bonus tracks. I have mixed feelings about the album; it didn't snag my ear right away, but I am starting to get into the rootsy rockabilly stuff on it. I think it's best feature is it's uncluttered simplicity.

I did go back and listen to my "Learning To Crawl" reissue today, and I must say that the new stuff doesn't stack up to the first three records. Even though Jim Keltner is a well respected session drummer, I don't think he brings the passion that Martin Chambers does. I caught myself wondering why she left Martin off the new album? And, I wonder if he is joining them for the tour? Debating buying tix for the upcoming Seattle show...
