I was just wondering how most in here musically speaking liked better as artists,Payola$ or Scritti Politti? I was trying to put 2 bands that were only popular for a short time.Personally,I liked the Payolas far more than I liked Scritti Politti.As it stands the only good material at least in my opiniion by Scritti Politti was their Warners material.Anything before or after was complete garbage.

Whereas I liked every single album the Payola$ recorded,and they had alot more to choose from.It's too bad that Payola$ lasted for a short time,seeing that they recorded 4 really great albums.And that last Rock And Hyde album was also great as well.

I'm predicting a slaughter here. I'm going with Payola$. The song "Eyes of A Stranger" is one of my favorite new wave songs of all time.

I am going to say the same thing here on this one too SwampThing.In fact I am going to say it is a no contest as Payola$ should win hands down.

I prefer The Payola$, but I do love Scritti as well. I wish a Canadian label would release all four of their albums on CD; all I have is the "Between A Rock And A Hyde Place" and the Canadian "Millennium Collection" CDs (and of course, everything else on

True. Although 'Cupid and Psyche 85' is one of the best pop records of all time, the early Rough Trade material is not to everybody's taste. And then 'Songs To Remember' is in a completely different pop soul vein.

I'm a fan of both groups, but Payolas get the nod. Mo' better music. Of course I only have one Scritti Politti album, so I'm probably being unfair. What can you do? Nobody said life was going to be fair Scritti Politti!

Definetly Scritti Politti. the new one with their earlier stuff, "early", is choice.
