Not really a cover, just singing over a music riff sample as so many have done with other songs (i.e. "S.O.S./Tainted Love"- Rihanna), etc.

As far as the video goes, it's about time Hillary stopped that "whiter than snow" act got in touch with her inner slut. Warms the cockles of my heart... or is it the heart of my cockles?

Is there anyone other than me who actually likes when current music samples older songs and breathes fresh life into them? Simply Red sampled Hall & Oates' I Can't Go For That a few years back to great effect, singing a new melody over the original music. Rihanna's Don't Stop the Music with the Michael Jackson sample is infectious (as is SOS). I've just accepted that producers, writers, performers are all going to inject music of their youth into their music now and then--these are the artists who inspired them. It wasn't uncommon in the 80s for many artists to cover songs they grew up with in the 60s, and we ended up with a whole lot of fantastic cover versions. I'm not into that whole concept of music being exclusive, sacred and untouchable. I prefer that great songs from the past be brought back to the limelight. I can't stand it when the songbooks of the Bee Gees, Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer, the BEATLES, etc., are used on American Idol and NONE of the contestants knows ANY of their songs. If younger generations aren't exposed to these songs somehow, this great music is all going to die with us.

To answer your question simply, no. There is no one other than you for feels this way.

Just kidding. Most of the time, it doesn't kill me when a song is re-made, as long as it is re-made well. I'd rather younger generations aren't exposed to these songs at all than be exposed to cheap, poor versions of them.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.
