Lets face it if you were born in the '50s you probably became a tye dye wearing hippy or worse yet a Yippy disco freak wearing a white polyester suit. But if you were born in the '60s chances are you were a Nu Wave/ Punk cool ass mother fucker. Our style and music was a slap in the face to all the bullshit that was being pushed by the media morons, we realized that the generation before us were a bunch of touchy feely whiny spoiled crybabies bitching and moaning over the vietnam war and what the government was up to and there pathetic attempt to change the world with there pot smoking protests with all talk and no balls and ultimately no results. Where as our generation decided to say fuck all of that bullshit lets go out and scare the shit out of these assholes in power knowing fully well we couldnt change a dam thing in government or politics but we could at least show them all that we didnt give a fuck anyway. We dressed and danced and partied with such originality and passion our physical presence alone would be enough to scare the hell out of them. And was the ultimate way of showing them that we not only didnt agree with there way but that we had the balls enough to dare to be different and be proud of our sexuality and style and not fall prey to the conventional ways of the average moron following in his or her parents fucked up way of life. For most of us on the surface was some white picket fence clean glossy image of the so called American dream, when in reality our parents were sold a crock of shit when they were young and were now all poping pills, getting drunk and divorced leaving our generation to deal with the outcome of their misguided ways and mistakes that would make our existance a living hell until we could get the fuck away from their dysfunctional way of life! We we smart enough to see through all that crap and didnt buy into it and went out on our own in a new direction and shocked as well as changed the world. And I know this to be true because lets face it when we were in our teens were we dressing like people in the '60s, no fucking way but now look at this generation trying so desperately trying to be so '80s. Thats all the proof I need to know we were the final generation of cool and originality ever, born in the '60s raised in the '70s wild in the'80s![;)]
