I know there's tons of great cameos/performances out there, but the first one that comes to my mind is Peter Murphy at the beginning of The Hunger. What a fantastic opening.

What are some of your favorites?

Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Bowie in "Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence" not really cameo's though as they were the leads but still one of my favorite appearences of music idols.

Really I can't stand Huey Lewis, but I thought his cameo in Back To The Future was pretty darn funny.

I liked Richard Hell in "Smithereens", Fee Waybill in "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains", and Debbie Harry in "Hairspray".

Nowhere Girl

Martin and Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet) played Rondald and Reggie Kray in the "Kray Twins" movie.

I vaguely recall the March Violets appearing (performing) in "Some Kind of Wonderful." I wonder if John Hughes managed to include other cameos in his films.

I forgot about "The Krays." That was a great movie.
