For me I prefer the sound and style of The Boomtown Rats more than I do from The Romantics. The Rats have much stronger albums and material than the Romantics do.Plus, the fact that The Boomtown Rats have much more classic albums and songs than The Romantics do.I can put on a Boomtown Rats album, any one of them, and not get tired or bored of them, where as I can alot sooner than with a Romantics album.
Not taking anything away from the Romantics, but I just prefer The Rats style alot more.Anyone else care to share as well on who they like better between these two bands? Thank you.

One of my top favorite new wave bands is The Boomtown Rats, so that's who I'm voting for. To me, the Romantics' music comes off a bit as frat house party stuff, while there is much more to the Rats' material. The Boomtown Rats experimented with their st

Never like anything by The Romantics and only learned to appreciate the Rats last year. They had some truly wonderful songs, Like Clockwork being my favorite. For anyone interested, the complete Rats catalog is said to be coming out on CD early next year,

Hi Skinnytie:
I really couldn't come up with a band when I compared both of these bands together,so I put them together. What I mean is,there really isn't another band who have that similar sound and style to The Boomtown Rats.If I had thought long and ha
