Is there any doubt?

That the majority of new wave and new romantic stuff originated in the UK, with the exception of a few scottish and Irish groups?

As I research more and more of these bands, I can't recall many groups that came out of the US...

Can anyone give me a few examples?

Talking Heads, B-52's, Blondie, R.E.M., Information Society (I think), 10,000 Maniacs.

But yeah, the majority of the stuff comes from England.

A lot of it did originate in the UK. But there were a lot of US new-wave bands as well. Here are a few of them.
