We've done this a few times for new wave songs by non-new wave artists (Alice Cooper Clones (We're All) hands down), but what about power pop? Here are a few that I can think of:

Queen - Need Your Loving Tonight
Kiss - Christine Sixteen
Foreigner - Luann

Others?

All I can think of right now is Loverboy and Billy Squire...[:p]

According to my loose definition of Power Pop, these might fit:

Rick Springfield - Jeese's Girl
Eddie Money - Big Crash
Pat Benatar - Rated X, So Sincere
EG Daily - whichever song of hers was from Better off Dead
Don Henley - Johnny Can't Read
Kinks - Around the Dial
Linda Ronstadt - How Do I Make You & most of the Mad Love lp

If Greg Kihn & Moon Martin aren't already considered Power Pop, then I'd throw their stuff in too.

What about bands that don't exactly exist because they're inside movies or TV? Here's a couple of my recent finds courtesy of the Digital Century after pining away for 20 years.

1. Misfits of Science intro theme. Rare rebuilt extended version that plays like a song rather than with the comedic TV version "pre-clip".

1. Lea Thompson's songs from "Cherry Bomb" in Howard the Duck.
