Early synth-pop bands

Having heard again, after quite a few years, the music of French's duo Mathematiques Modernes, I just confirm how much I love this very early, basic, pioneering and analogic sounds of the bands who made pop with machines in the years 1978 to 1981 (Les visiteurs du soir, the record of this band I was listening to, is from 1981).

Bands such as this, or Landscape, or Our Daughter's Wedding, or A Popular History Of Signs, or Dalek I or The Passage, even The Normal/Silicon Teens thing... bands who just played with one-finger keyboard lines and naïve sound effects.

So I come here to ask for more bands to keep looking for, and I would be grateful for any help you can give me. Of course, it's not necessary to mention obvious examples such as Kraftwerk or DAF...[:)] I mean lesser known groups who made cold pop with early synths.

Thank you all.

What's a hit song by "Our Daughter's Wedding." I've been searching youtube for songs by them but keep getting videos of wedding ceremonies instead...

Fun With Animals may be ok, no idea who they are...

No other unknown bands? Such as Palais Schaumburg, for example.

Local examples welcome, if possible to find any music.

Symphonique Elegance is one of my favorite records of the genre

If you search that blog using the keyword "minimal" you'll find tons of new-to-you material.

You're referring to "Lawnchairs." Lawnchairs are everywhere, they're everywhere, my mind describes them to me –- only to me.

I also enjoy Landscape. Dang, now I'ma hafta seek out all the stuff you guys mentioned. Way to give me a project...:)

Love Silicon Teens' cover version of "Memphis, Tennessee!"

Also The Normal 12", which IIRC is just Daniel Miller (DM Producer) in the studio...

Ooh! Where do I get in on the Normal/Silicon Teens phenomenon? I remember reading about it in the DM Stripped biography, but now my interest is piqued.
