Is it just me, or have the This Band vs. That Band threads gotten way out of hand? [}:)]

I understand the idea and it makes for some interesting discussions, but jeez! How about <B>one[/b] new one per day, not a half dozen or more! Honestly, what's up with that?

Either some people are hell bent on boosting their post count (as if that really means anything) or they have nothing better to do... [;)]

I agree completely Fritz. It makes the posts that are worth reading and responding to more difficult to find by pushing them further down the list. I have been a member of this board far longer than the guilty parties posting the Vs. threads and their pos

I think I responded to one, a long time ago. It's rather like arguing whether red or blue is a better color, isn't it?

How about:

Michael Bolton vs. fingernails on a blackboard
Celine Dion Vs. two styrofoam blocks rubbing together
DJ Clue vs self

...and I swear I could've posted this thread if you did'nt, fritzb. Oh well, maybe not... but I think I made myself quite clear by falling "asleep" along those threads! [xx(][:D][:p]

I agree but you can't stop them. I have been tempted to respond with sarcasm to many of them but the best way to deal with it is to not respond so they drop down the list faster.

I haven't found it that hard to ignore the majority of them and respond to the odd one that peeks my interest. A quick perusal had some of our very same authors responding to Debbie Gibson vs Tiffany for chrissakes! And Clash vs Jam for example is a prett

This section vs. that section! LOL!!!! I think I'll post it. I'd love to hear what you think Fritz!

Hey ExRat,

Yes, I am that same Rubellan. I don't do much on the VH1 Classic board anymore as I fear it is pointless. As soon as they added 90's videos I knew it was over for getting the obscure New Wave on the air, and seeing how the channel continued
