interesting that this band had a lot more than White Horse worthy of attention...
their song High Society Girl is mad 80's dance, hmm so is Elevator Boy... and Highway of Love I think is a mighty good ballad, and Sunshine Reggae is very relaxing tune

Thanks for bringing that up. I've had White Horse for years on various compilations (going back to vinyl records in the 80s) and never even considered this band beyond that song. I sampled both High Society Girl and Elevator Boy on youtube, and they are just the kind of new wave I love! I totally ordered their album with those two songs online. Would never have guessed it was the same group. Thanks again.

on any of their other albums besides Keep Smiling, do they have songs in the style of Elevator Boy and High Society Girl? From sound samples I was able to find online of their stuff, they are really all over the map, and much of their stuff does not sound like new wave or synthpop, but I'd really be interested in hearing more of their stuff along the lines of those genres.

I don't think High Society Girl is wave, but a great dance track nevertheless

but their 1981 song "Roger" is Wavy... there is a Cover of it by some modern band on youtube

I also like their song "It's a Shame" (love that falsetto chorus) [:D]

thanks for the links. I wasn't super impressed with those songs (not very wave to me, more commercial), but although their CDs are pretty much all out of print, I was amazed to find on amazon that they have a 2-disc best of CD that has a load of their 12" versions! Ordered it, can't wait to get it. Great package.
