What is Retro?
What artists qualify in this category.?
Why I ask---
I wore neon and a checkered tie to my classes, to see my shrink, and to my adademic career interview...
Everyone said I looked retro.. What is it? I know its a type of music...

Retro is something that was in-style from a another generation.

"Retro" is tossed about (perhaps too much and too easily) to refer to pretty much anything, like mare_idol said, "from another generation." Musically, "retro" could be anything that emulates new wave, punk, early 80's hip hop/beat box, 70's glam rock, Phi

As it turns out Agency - X produced a compilation. 5 CDs of new wave/synth pop entitled "State of Synth Pop 2003" and its got all kinds of cool stuff...its like a sampler of Nu-Wave.
