Somehow, I got lucky & downloaded 2 albums from The Vibrators. I only had "moscow disco" from them, and never knew much about them past that. I must say my new favorite track from them is "Somnabulist" which isn't as punk sounding as Disco. It has a good core 80s sound to it that can't be replicated.

I was exposed to them via 88.5 WRAS Atlanta back in the 1979-80 era when I was a kid. They played a lot of tracks from the "Pure Mania" and "V2" albums. Hence 88.5's new wave/punk program was titled Pure Mania !

They were a really cool band imo and I would recommend you seek those two cd's if possible.I simply love this form of music from the 1977-79 era.

Songs such as:

Keep it Clean
Pure Mania
Troops of Tomorrow
Feel Alright
Into the Future

etc... immediately comes to mind.

Another great band! I always thought they were purely punk... not so!

Hey British,

The Vibrators are playing at the Triple Rock on May 1 along with Eddie & The Hot Rods.

I opened for the Vibrators last year and they were really cool guys. Knox has been around since the late 60's and had so many cool stories to tell about Swingin' London.
