They have MTV Hits for that, which was great initially, with no commercials and tons of new videos, but now, they rotate the same playlists constantly. And VH1 Classics was the same--originally no commercials and all 80s videos non-stop--it felt like watching MTV in 1983 all over again. Now they have commercials, show movies and VH1 countdown list shows, and only show 80s videos for like a 3 hour block in the morning. And here I thought MTV/VH1 had finally realized they needed to bring back the classic format of videos on separate channels if they weren't going to play them on the regular channels...

Now it's coming back to me --

They used to feature a 1/2 hour of '80s videos on VH1 in the mid-'90s called "The Big '80s." However, it was always the same 15 videos rotated over and over again and the played Adam Ant's "Goody Two Shoes" on every show.

Viacom has some kind of reverse alchemy going for them, they turn gold into shit!
