'Love and Dancing' style albums.

With the Pet Shop Boys citing The Human League's 'Love and Dancing' as a major influence on the 2nd disc of their latest album, can anyone remember any other groups during the 80s who may have done something similar to THL and released a separate album of remixes/ dub versions?
I am not sure if the Thompson Twins cassette versions count, I always thought they should have released them separately on vinyl.

Eurythmics released "Touch Dance". And Howard Jones had a remix LP that I really wish would be issued or reissued, whatever the case. Not sure if it was ever officially on CD.

If you mean The 12" Album, it was on CD, but is OOP and expensive.

Some of his best material is on that 12" Album. I wanted to get the CD, but it's $75 on Amazon. Too rich for my blood!

I wasn't aware that this release was scarce and so pricey. I can post a rip from my CD if anyone is interested.

There was also 'Action Replay' from '86 which was subsequent, and supplementary to, 'Dream Into Action' from '85. Also, more in the vein of strictly intrumental/dub releases is Propaganda's 'Wishful Thinking'.

duh--so obvious. PSB's FIRST Disco album was loaded with remixes from the first album. And Erasure released Two Ring Circus.

The overlaid tracks are kind of obnoxious, imho; would have been nice to have a nice smooth fade out. Still, just sayin', it's in print ... as a download. I had no idea the CD was so pricey!

Would Real Life's "Down Comes the Hammer" count? It was on vinyl and cassette only, as far as I know, and had mixes from both Heartland and Flame, plus a few extras thrown in.

Pity it was never on CD.

Trancemode Express

This one came out in 1996. It was purportedly trance covers of Depeche Mode songs, but it came across as a smooth remix album...Depeche Muzak!

It was followed up by Trancemode Express 2.01 in 1997.

The tracks on both albums were done by now-forgotten techno artists.
