I interviewed Dave Wakeling recently, steering the conversation through the (English) Beat, General Public, and his lone solo album, "No Warning," with discussions about Ranking Roger, Saxa, Cox & Steele, Mick Jones's contributions to the General Public legacy, and how IRS Records' plans to mold Wakeling into some approximation of the new Sting fell apart due to budgetary constraints.

Not towards you when i say this, but in general: I wish someone would ask Dave why there was no full on reunion of English Beat for the "Bands Reunited" show? I know there was a rift or 3 w/ a few of the bandmates, wouldve been nice to see them all on stage together. Even the 3 former EB members in FYC wouldve been great to see included in that show.
