I am oddly curious about what ever became of his wife and child and whether they ever enjoyed any Joy Division royalties. I've been fascinated with this since seeing the movie Control, and can't get enough...

Well Deborah Curtis herself penned the book "Touching From a Distance". I'd say that would be the essential starting point.
