not sure if completism is a word but...

I've always been a fan of EATB, enjoying the "hits" that were played on the alternative radio stations I listened to.
But lately I've been getting into the deeper album cuts and really enjoying them.

I'm interested in recordings up to 1987 or so. I have all the albums (remastered) on cd, with bonus cuts, and the box set.

What am I missing? i.e.recordings on other cds, or only on vinyl. I'm not interested in what is available as files from commercial online download sites.

I'd look for live concert recordings from their earlier years (Ocean Rain and earlier). I first got into them because my local radio (WLIR 92.7 Garden City NY) broadcast had a live concert of theirs, which I recorded to cassette. There were only a handful of hits in that concert (Killing Moon, Cutter, Back of Love, Never Stop), but I learned to appreciate their darker songs (Zimbo, All My Colors, All That Jazz, A Promise). I think the live recordings are the best way to enjoy EATB.

To what Sally Lightfoot had to say, I always enjoyed this EP, especially this version of Crocodiles:

It's the video version. I had this on cassette back in the '80s, and found a Japanese reissue on CD a number of years back.

The same track is included on a Japanese cd that I have called "New Live and Rare" Warner-Pioneer Corporation 22P2-2155 1988

There's also a 3 disc box set floating around that was released in '08 I think(I have it...it's different than Crystal Days. Has lots of good b sides on it, and lesse known hits).

Schwenko, you have most of their stuff if you have all those cds.

The only things I can think of not in that list:

There was a nice EP they released in early to mid 90's called "Avalanche" which was mail order only, they did acoustic versions of stuff like "Silver", "Angels and Devils", etc. I am only mentioning it because it really is a unplugged redux of mostly 80's songs. It was fantastic. However the label went under shortly after and there was some sort of scam thing going on with the mail order at the time... try to find the EP, it is worth it if you dig the 80's Echo.

There was a version of "The Puppet" on URGH - A Music War, (which briefly came out on CD and now on DVD-R) which is one of my favorite live versions of the song, probably because this was the song which introduced me to the band.

Hey DJ Phoenix, are there any songs on that 3 CD set not on Crystal Days? I remember seeing some weird live tracks on that set, wasn't sure...
