I am looking to buy a Sisters of Mercy cd. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I suppose their most popular was "Vision Thing" and it rocks! I suggest you listen to their debut instead.

Their debut full LP, ans actually their tracks from EP's prior to that release are even better IMO.

That's like asking for a good Smiths album to buy.

If you're not at all familiar with them - go for "A Slight Case Of Overbombing" - that's their "greatest hits" (though it omits all of their pre First/Last/Always tracks) - it DOES have most of the cru

Grunch, I am not on the hub, I have tried so many times to get on with no luck. I have one or two of their songs on different cds, and really like everything I hear from them!

First and Last and Always is the one you should go for. It's moody, gothy, melodic, yet somewhat gentle on the ears. No screaming. I think it conjures up the mid-80s perfectly. Give it a try (it's the one with "Black Planet", "Maryanne" and the title song
