Were they new wave? Ok,ok, I'm joking! Let's not go there...lol...

What's your favourite Queen song?

I love Body Language...and I must be the only one since it didn't seem to make it onto any greatest hits compilations. When I first heard it, it was like nothing I'd heard at the time, and it made my parents uneasy, what with all that Freddie Mercury moaning!!! Give maaaeee, your bodaaaeee! Sort of an early Relax...

For me it's definitely gotta be the seldom heard 'Dragon Attack' from the 'The Game' LP (1980). That tune kicks arse on so many levels and still demands to be played at max volume.[}:)]

Naming any of their 70s classics is too easy for me, and I do love Another One Bites the dUST, but I have to admit, I love Radio GaGa, one of their dips into the electronic, new wave-ish sounds of the 80s. Also like some of Freddie's solo songs, particularly Love Kills, in part because it was produced by Giorgio Moroder in his typical 80s style, which I loved.

I do too. I rarely saw the video, I guess it was too hot for 1982.

Under Pressure's probably my all time favorite, though.

Not saying this is my favorite or anything but it does have a new wave way about it. [8D]

LOL. It's just a spray of water. Though the video could've been something they showed on <s>Cinemax</s> Skinemax back in the day.

Hammer to Fall!

BTW - My fave live performance of all time for pretty much any band in any situaiton is Queen at Live-Aid.

Watching Freddie command that endless sea of radio ga-ga hands is brilliant.

Didn't Queen always have a disclaimer printed on their album sleeves that read something like "No Synthesizers Were Used In The Making This Record"

would seem the antithesis of New Wave to me. I do like Queen though and I think they eventually jumped on the synth bandwagon.

I remember back in '78, Boston II had a disclaimer on their vinyl that no synthesizers were used. Without a listen, this was promptly used as a flying disc out into the street where I lived.
