Seems like I see review after review by lazy magazine review geeks comparing every neo post-punk band to JD. Even when they might share more in common with say Comsat Angels, Gang of Four, The Clean, P Furs, Translator, Bunnymen or a bunch of other post-punk. But no, it's always reduced to JD comparisons.
I can see that to people in their 20s and 30s there's little perspective on the wide base of bands that were active and on the radio, doing really amazing stuff. But then how can one expect to have that perspective unless they were there, right?
