Siouxsie-Downside Up

Postby cubby » Thu Dec 09, 2004 9:23 am

Just got my copy of the Siouxsie b-sides box set today. Music-wise, it is flawless. 51 b-sides plus the Thorn EP. Especially like the first disc from 1978-1982. It is great to finally have all these songs in 1 place and remastered. My only complaint is with the packaging. I think I would have preferred it to be in a book form sort of like the Cure's "Join the Dots" instead of a heavy cardboard fold-out. The print in the book is way too small though. C'mon Siouxsie, your fans are getting old; our eyesight isn't what it use to be!!! (HA HA!!) Overall, definitely worth the $$$. This one will be on my player for a longgggg time. Anyone else have it yet?

Does it have pictures of all her 12" singles? I have about 12 0f them...I was hoping that they would release a book that showed all her album covers in LP size...Kind of like Peepholism- Morrissey's album cover art...which showed all The Smiths and Morris

Yes, for each b-side it has the lyrics, notes from Siouxsie, Severin and Budgie and pics of the 7" and the 12". The pics are small but they are there.

In the forward, Siouxsie writes that she has been wanting to do this since 1986. As she puts it "well it's about bloody time".

This is why going back over these old threads is so cool. I never would have known about this Siouxsie release. (and it's down to $41 from the amazon sellers)
