Woody Woodpecker

Postby rsgonzalez » Thu Oct 15, 2009 7:04 am

I just heard VideoKids's "Woodpeckers From Space" for the first time. I already knew about Baltimora's "Woody Boogie." Why are there two new wave songs that are about Woody Woodpecker?!?! Heck, why is there even one? ...

Don't really know much about Baltimora other than Tarzan Boy. But Woodpeckers From Space? OMG. I used to absolutely love that song back in the day. Infact once when I was DJing a party I played that song. It got everyone on the Dance Flo' Fo' Sho' *LOL*. I seem to remember it got a ton of play on KROQ and reached their year end list of 1985.

The Woody Boogie song is actually pretty good but the Woodpecker part is annoying. My least favorite song though from Baltimora's debut.

I also like "Satellite" by Video Kids, catchy 80's disco tune.
Bianca Bonelli was pretty cute too [:D]
